A 6000 mAh power bank that tops itself up in daylight.

The Roaming solar power bank is the rugged, pocketable sort: a water-resistant ABS shell, two USB outputs so you can charge a phone and a headtorch at once, and a built-in torch. The double-layer solar panel trickle-charges from any light, so a couple of days on the pack adds useful charge, though a wall socket before you leave is still the main event.

Why we like it

• 6000 mAh: roughly two full phone charges or one tablet charge
• Dual USB outputs (2.1 A and 1.1 A), 5 V, charge two devices at once
• Solar panel charges from indoor or outdoor light; best in direct sun
• Built-in torch and on/off button so it only drains when you want it to
• Water-resistant, rugged case; holds charge for around two weeks
• Includes micro-USB charging cable; one-year replacement or repair warranty

Good to know

Works with anything that charges over USB: phones, watches, GPS units, cameras, lanterns. Pair it with our 8 W Foldable Solar Panel for a proper off-grid setup on multi-day trips. Colours: black, green, orange and yellow.
