The Telescopic Straw Water Filter extends so you can drink from a stream, rock pool or shallow tarn while staying on dry ground, then collapses to pocket size when you are done. A lanyard keeps it round your neck rather than at the bottom of the beck.

How it works

Extend the barrel, drop the intake end into the water, and drink through the mouthpiece. The internal filter element removes bacteria, protozoa and sediment from natural water sources, so a stream refill on the Pennine Way or a wild camp in Snowdonia does not end with a trip to the chemist. Nothing to pump, charge or dissolve.

Good to know
