The filter for filling bottles and bladders, not just sipping.

A straw filter is fine for a drink at the stream. When you need to fill a 2 litre bladder, a cooking pot or a whole group's bottles, you want a pump. The Outdoor Water Purifier pulls water from a stream, tarn or lake, pushes it through a ceramic and nano-metal filtration stage, and delivers clean water where you want it, at a rate that means you are not kneeling on wet rock for ten minutes.

What it does

• Removes bacteria, protozoa and sediment from natural water sources
• Rated for around 2,000 litres before the element needs replacing, which is several seasons of weekend trips
• ABS body with ceramic and nano-metal-cluster filter media
• Compact at 14 × 5 × 3 cm; it fits in a lid pocket with room to spare

Who it is for

Wild campers, DofE groups, families and anyone cooking with stream water. If you only need a drink on the move, our Portable Straw Water Filter is smaller and cheaper; many people carry both.

Good to know

Take water from moving sources where possible and avoid the stillest, siltiest pools; they clog any filter faster. Back-flush with clean water after a trip and let it dry fully before storing. Colour: army green.
