A litre boiled in 2 minutes 40, and the whole kitchen nests in one pot.

The Trail 123 is a heat-exchanger cook system: the fins on the base of the pot grab far more of the flame's heat than a plain pan, which means faster boils and less gas carried. It is modular, so you take the solo pot for a bivvy or stack the set for three, and the stove and a gas canister pack inside the pot for carrying.

Why we like it

• High-efficiency pots boil 1 litre in about 2 min 40 s and half a litre in 1 min 20 s
• Breeze-resistant stove included
• Modular for one, two or three people depending on how you configure it
• Stove and canister nest inside the set for carry
• Ultralight construction for backpacking

Good to know

Fast boils mean less fuel: on a long trip the gas you save pays for the set. Takes standard screw-thread canisters (not included). Ships free in the UK.
